Our programmes build confidence, independence, and practical skills, helping participants prepare for adulthood and enter the world of work with purpose and ambition.

By partnering with local employers, schools, and volunteers, we create meaningful opportunities that lead to lasting change. Whether through placements, mentorship, or sponsorship, every contribution helps young people discover their potential and shape brighter futures in a more inclusive and supportive society.

Work Experience

Menphys offers a meaningful work experience programme that supports young people with disabilities to develop hands-on skills in an inclusive, supportive setting. Working in partnership with respected employers such as Caterpillar and the National Space Centre, the programme enables participants to build confidence, gain insight into the world of work, and develop the practical skills needed to succeed. These experiences are often transformative. Beyond improving employability, the programme encourages independence, nurtures self-esteem, and helps young people discover a sense of purpose. Through tailored placements and industry visits, participants are empowered to take meaningful steps toward their future with confidence and clarity.

Tours of Industry

As part of our work experience programme, Menphys facilitates tours of local industries, offering young people with disabilities a valuable opportunity to explore diverse career pathways. These behind-the-scenes visits provide an authentic look at workplace environments and the roles that drive them.

The impact is far-reaching. Exposure to different industries helps young people expand their horizons, identify aspirations, and better understand the skills needed for various careers. These tours not only inform future decisions but also spark ambition, build self-belief, and create vital connections for personal and professional development.
